ABDULQADER BAKHIT

Abdulqader, who has a background in both caricature and painting, finds inspiration for his artistic style and subject matter in his childhood and the positive memories associated with it. The media he uses may change over time, but the themes of innocence and purity that are prevalent in his work remain constant. The majority of his artwork is characterized by the use of primary colors, in hues which convey a sense of warmth and nostalgia and transport the viewer to a simpler time. In addition to being an artist, Abdulqader has also served as the Art Director for Dar Al-Anda in Jordan from 2002 until 2016. He divides his time between Amman, Jordan and Khartoum, Sudan.

Abdulqader Bakhit was born in 1966 in the town of Majdoob, Sudan. He later went on to earn a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Sudan in 1990. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Abdulqader is also a member of both the Sudanese Plastic Artists Union and the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association. His talent and contributions to the art world have been recognized with several awards, including a UNESCO Award in 1998 and an Al-Khurafee Biennial Award from Kuwait in 2006.
